LaGov and State Civil Service will be offering 3 days of CPM Production assistance Monday, January 6
through Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 8:00am-3:30pm
in Room 150 of the Claiborne Building, 1201 N 3rd St. Baton Rouge, LA 70802.
No appointment is required. Agency Administrators can bring specific production issues and/or questions to our CPM support team
and receive hands on assistance.
SCS is pleased to offer a number of trainings surrounding the launch of Continuous Performance Management. We will continue to design and update trainings as CPM features are released or updated.

Mandatory Training - All Employees
SCS CPTP CPM Basics
- All classified employees are required to complete this course.
- This web-based course helps learners understand the purpose of performance management. Why do organizations conduct performance planning and evaluation? What should employees expect? And how can they benefit from performance management? This course will, also, discuss the changes made to Chapter 10 in the SCS Rules, including five rating levels and a new calendar-based rating year.

Agency Administrators & HR Representatives Training
These roles oversee CPM for their agencies within the Success Factors system, ensuring compliance with SCS rules and agency policies. These roles are unique to SuccessFactors system users only.
*Agencies must submit an Agency CPM Administrator Training Sign-Up Sheet for access.
SCS CPTP CPM Agency Administrator Planning and Evaluation Demo
- This 40-minute course demonstrates the basic processes Agency Administrators and HR Representatives will follow to launch planning and evaluation forms.
- Available now in LaGov Learning*
- PLEASE NOTE: This course is a required pre-requisite for both the SCS CPTP CPM Agency Admin Training for Planning and the SCS CPTP CPM Agency Admin Training for Evaluation.
SCS CPTP CPM Agency Admin Training for Planning
- A 3-hour, virtual training for Agency Administrators and HR Representatives that prepares them to manage CPM processes including:
- Launching planning forms for new hires
- Understanding SCS Chapter 10 rules as they apply to planning
- CPM Report Functions as they apply to planning
- Will be scheduled for November and December 2024.
- The Learning, Performance, and Culture division of SCS will be reaching out to those agencies who have submitted a training sign-up sheet.
SCS CPTP CPM Agency Admin Training for Evaluation
- A 3-hour virtual training for Agency Administrators and HR Representatives that prepares them to manage CPM processes including:
- Understanding SCS Chapter 10 rules as they apply to evaluations
- CPM Report Functions as they apply to evaluations
- Agency Review Processes
- Not Evaluated/Rating Replacement
- Course will be scheduled for Fall 2025.
Employees, Evaluating Supervisors, Second Level Evaluators Training
SCS CPTP CPM Planning Process
- Following some common information for all three roles about CPM, Employees, Evaluating Supervisors and Second-level Evaluators each have their own section of the course, where they will learn what their role-based responsibilities are in Success Factors and how to manage the CPM planning process in Success Factors.
- Additional content includes writing goals and metrics, documenting progress, and best practices for planning
- Available in LaGov Learning November 30, 2024.
SCS CPTP CPM Evaluation Process
- Following some common information for all three roles about CPM, Employees, Evaluating Supervisors and Second-level Evaluators each have their own section of the course, where they will learn what their role-based responsibilities are in Success Factors and how to manage the CPM evaluation process in Success Factors. Additional content includes measuring performance using the five rating levels and conducting an effective evaluation discussion.
