Louisiana State Government represents a wide variety of career options and offers an outstanding opportunity to make a difference through public service. With an array of career opportunities in every major metropolitan center and in many rural areas, state employment provides an excellent choice to begin or continue your career. As a state employee, you will earn competitive pay, choose from a variety of benefits, have access to a great professional development program, and work alongside other dedicated and committed state employees.
The Recruiting and Outreach Center provides educational outreach to the public, community colleges, and universities regarding job opportunities within state government through job events and information sessions. Additionally, the Center serves walk-ins who are interested in exploring how their skills can align with state job opportunities.
Although the staff at the Recruiting and Outreach Center continues to oversee testing for jobs requiring the Protective Services Exam (PSE) and the proctoring of the LA Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) Weights and Measures certification exams, the Center’s main focus has shifted to proactive recruitment opportunities and consulting with applicants.
